Turkish shelling and air strikes have killed at least 20 civilians in Syria on the fifth day of an incursion against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group and Kurdish forces, according to a monitoring group.
Sunday's deaths came a day after Turkey blamed Kurdish forces battling for control of the border region for its first fatality.
"At least 20 civilians were killed and 50 others wounded by Turkish artillery fire and air strikes on Sunday morning at Jeb el-Kussa," a village south of Jarablus, said Rami Abdel Rahman of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a Britain-based monitor with a network of sources on the ground.
Turkey has not yet released an official comment.
The SOHR said the bombardment targeted an area south of the former ISIL stronghold of Jarablus, which Turkish-led forces captured on the first day of the incursion.
Jeb el-Kussa is located 14km south of Jarablus and is controlled by fighters from the area backed by Kurdish forces.
Some of the fighters were killed in Sunday's shelling and air strikes but the number was not yet clear, said the SOHR.
On Saturday, clashes erupted for the first time between Turkish forces backed by tanks and pro-Kurdish fighters in the town of Al-Amarneh, also south of Jarablus.

RUMOURS: Manchester United Plan Bale Approach in 2017

While Real attempt to tie down the Welshman on a lucrative long-term deal, the Red Devils are already thinking of adding the star to their team for 2017-18
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is planning to raid former club Real Madrid in order to sign Gareth Bale in 2017, according to the Sunday Star
The Wales international moved to the Santiago Bernabeu shortly after Mourinho's exit in 2013, and while Mourinho will not make an approach in the current transfer window he has apparently singled the forward out as a top future target.
Madrid, however, are desperate to keep their man, and have already opened talks over a new five-year contract to tie Bale down in the Spanish capital.

Aguero: I'm not competing with Ibrahimovic

Aguero: I'm not competing with Ibrahimovic

The Argentine attacker has got off to a bright start to the campaign but he insists he and his Manchester United rival are not in a race for the Golden Boot
Sergio Aguero is happy with his start to the season, but insists he is not competing with Zlatan Ibrahimovic to become the Premier League top goalscorer.
Ibrahimovic scored three goals in Manchester United's first two games in the league, though he drew a blank in Saturday's 1-0 win over Hull City.
Aguero matched the Swede's electric start for Pep Guardiola's team,  and can overtake the striker with a goal as his side takes on West Ham on Sunday.
But the Argentine attacker, who finished second in the race for the golden boot last season, insists he is not looking to start a rivalry with the Swede.

“Both Ibrahimovic and I have started the season in great shape, both scoring goals," he said. "But I'm not thinking about competing with him. I compete against myself. I try to improve myself from the season before.
“If I am able to do as well as the previous season then I will keep growing as a player. That's my goal and also improving as a team. Always my goal is to improve myself compared to the year before.
“My goal here at Manchester City every year is to win trophies. The main goal in terms of trophies is to do well in the Champions League, then the Premier League and the rest of the trophies.
“It's always better to win as much as possible. It's difficult to win everything, but we have a great team to be able to win a trophy by the end of the season. We all expect to perform well in the Premier League and try to win the trophy, and also to perform great in the Champions League. Always the goal in our minds is to win a trophy.”
Aguero, 28, admits that new coach Guardiola has implemented a new style in the team which has forced extra demands upon his role, but he speaks very highly of the Catalan.
”Pep has changed the way we have been playing in previous years," he added.

“In my case, he's very demanding of me. I need to be the player who starts the pressure and with my pressure the rest of my team-mates will join me and keep up the pressure.
“After talking to him a while, he hopes to achieve something big. He's a very cheerful manager, he's always talking to you, cheering you up and pushing you.
“You can tell he loves football, he loves his job and he tries to teach us his concepts and what he wants.
"We need to enjoy but always be working hard.”

Sydney Cancer Survivor Transforms Scarred Breast with Floral Tattoo

Sydney Cancer Survivor Transforms Scarred Breast with Floral Tattoo
 Ehsan Knopf
A Sydney mother has undergone a 13-hour tattoo session in a bid to transform her breast into a work of art following a battle with cancer.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer at age 36, mother-of-one Alison Habbal underwent a lumpectomy and lost the nipple on one of her breasts, the BBC reports.
She was given the option of reconstructing a nipple with plastic surgery, but instead decided to conceal her scars with a tattoo.
"During the year I was sick I had the idea of me with the blonde crop and the tattoo,” Ms Habbal told the BBC.
“The whole time I was sick I would trawl tattoo artists over the internet.”
Ms Habbal ultimately approached New Zealand-based artist Makkala Rose to commission a design.
The pair met for one “blood-curdingly horrific” 13-hour tattoo session on July 1 in Melbourne, after which Mr Habbal shared a photo of her transformed breast to her Instagram account.
The photo shows her breast covered in a colourful bouquet of flowers.
It has since received hundreds of likes.
Ms Rose said the opportunity to tattoo Ms Habbal was “quite humbling” and that it “put a lot of things into perspective”.

Speaker tells De Lima: Face House probe to prove your innocence

Speaker tells De Lima: Face House probe to prove your innocence

Senator Leila de Lima should submit herself to the impending congressional probe on the alleged illegal drug operations inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) and prove President Rodrigo Duterte wrong, House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez said.
“'Yung ganyang mga panawagan na wala kang kinalaman at lahat, 'yan ay mapapatunayan lamang if you subject yourself to investigation,"  Alvarez, a close ally of Duterte, said in an interview in Tunga, Leyte on Saturday.
Alvarez is one of the authors of House Resolution No. 105, which seeks an investigation into how drug syndicates managed to operate and flourish inside the national penitentiary in Muntinlupa during De Lima's watch as Justice Secretary.
At her birthday celebration with members of the media last week, De Lima said she only has two wishes, one being for Duterte to stop accusing her of involvement in illegal drugs operations.
“Hindi ba tila baga ang 'war against drugs,' napupunta na sa 'war versus De Lima?'” the senator said.
The President has accused the  senator of having an affair with her former driver-bodyguard Ronnie Dayan, who the chief executive said collected drug money from drug lords locked up in Bilibid.
Alvarez said the House committee on justice will invite DOJ officials and witnesses to testify about the alleged drug trade inside the NBP.
He reiterated that the House cannot force De Lima to attend the inquiry, citing inter-parliamentary courtesy extended to members of both houses of Congress.
Di syempre ikaw,” he added.
The said probe has yet to be scheduled. The resolution is still pending with the committee on rules. — Kathrina Charmaine Alvarez/LBG, GMA News

Virender Sehwag to start Twitter coaching classes in his school

By Sandeep Kadian

Jhajjar: In a first of its kind course, Sehwag International School is set to introduce Twitter as a subject. School’s founder Virender Sehwag will be taking this class where he will teach kids this very important life skill for today’s world.
Sehwag laughing after reading his own tweets

Sehwag has taken the microblogging platform by storm recently and he will be sharing his wisdom with the students to help them become Twitter influencers in future. Sehwag’s jokes, witty comments and birthday wishes have won him a lot of fans online and now people eagerly await his tweets to see what he comes up with next.
This will not be a part of the regular teaching schedule and will be taught in extra classes after the regular closing time. The course will be limited to the senior classes and students below 8th standard will not be allowed to attend.
“We have to provide our students with the best possible education to deal with the world out there and social media has become a very important life skill. You can make a living just by using social media these days. Recently, I have been told by many people that I am very good at tweeting so why shouldn’t I share my knowledge with our students?” Sehwag said speaking to our correspondent.
The swashbuckling opener further added, “At Sehwag International School, we don’t restrict ourselves to book learning alone, we want to provide all around development of the children, only then they can survive in today’s world. Once they graduate from our school, they can create their Twitter accounts and quickly become Twitter influencers, good money in that job these days. I will RT their first 5 tweets to set them on their way.”
Meanwhile, some students also requested for a course on ‘Taking Selfies’ but Sehwag shot that proposal down saying it is not safe as the growing number of deaths due to selfies indicate.
