By Tom Easterby - Newcastle United Club Reporter
Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons has signed a new five-year contract with the Club.
Aarons has put pen to paper on a new deal which will keep him at St. James' Park until the summer of 2021.
The 20-year-old joined the Magpies' Academy in 2012 after a spell at Bristol City, and progressed through the ranks on Tyneside.
He signed his first professional deal with the Club in 2014, and made his Newcastle debut as a substitute against Manchester City on the opening day of the 2014/15 campaign.
Aarons scored his first Magpies goal against Crystal Palace in August 2014, and has gone on to make 17 appearances in total, scoring three goals
He has also earned international recognition, representing England at under-20 level, and has also been called up to the Three Lions' under-21 squad.
"It's something that was always going to happen, but it's nice to get it done," he told nufcTV.
"I love the Club and this shows it even more. Under the new manager, there's a project and it's a forward-thinking Club now, so I'm just happy to be part of what the manager has in store for the Club and I'm happy that he has faith in me.
"I'd like to repay him and the fans and my family for this opportunity."
