RUMOURS: Ozil craves Real Madrid return
The Arsenal playmaker is likely to sign a contract extension in north London but would reportedly relish the chance to play for the European champions for a second time
Mesut Ozil is considering signing a new contract at Arsenal but would return to Real Madrid immediately if offered the chance, according to Sport Bild.
The Gunners are keen to tie the German playmaker down to a new deal, with his current terms expiring in 2018.
Ozil is likely to agree to an extension, the report claims, but will not stay at the Emirates Stadium forever if his ambition of winning major trophies is not matched by the club.
Real Madrid are the club closest to Ozil's heart but a move to Bayern Munich is less probable as chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is not a fan.
